I’m an Elopement Photographer. I love shooting them.

I love shooting elopements. Things are stripped back to the things that really matter: the love and connection between the two people getting married. They allow for time and space, and from a photographer’s point of view, they open up so many possibilities to get beautiful photos. Freed from the constraints of timelines and runsheets, couples can choose to go exploring and adventuring. And to revel in each other, without distractions, responsibilities, pressure.

My most memorable weddings have all been elopements: from swimming in lagoons under waterfalls in Fiji, to wandering the barren fire-blasted landscapes of country Australia. There is no limit to possibilities when it comes to elopements: you can choose to do whatever you want, wherever you want.

They are also more intimate, and intimacy is the catalyst of truly beautiful imagery.
